Research Assistant (Asia Competitiveness Institute) (31990)

Job Description

The Research Assistant will be members of the ACI research team, working under ACI Director, Professor Paul Cheung, to work on a number of projected related to China economies.

The candidate should have experience in policy analysis and be familiar with the socioeconomic development of China economies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Economics, Social Sciences, or equivalent
  • Familiar with socioeconomic development of China economies
  • Familiar with working on the large economic datasets for statistical analysis
  • Demonstrate good organisational and analytical skills
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese is required, as the role involves frequent communication, documentation, and collaborations in these languages
  • Able to multitask and manage tight timelines
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently and must be highly self-motivated
  • Able to commit to at least 1 year of service
