Job Description

  • The Research Assistant will support the development of biohybrid systems that integrate functional materials with non-photosynthetic microbes for light-driven chemical production.
  • The Research Assistant will assist in microbial cultivation, materials synthesis and integration, biohybrid fabrication, and characterization of solar-to-chemical conversion performance.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area such as Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • Basic laboratory training and experience in materials synthesis, microbial culture, biochemical assays, or related experimental work.
  • Interest in biohybrid systems, solar-to-chemical conversion, engineered microbes, functional materials, or sustainable biomanufacturing.
