Job Description
We are seeking a Research Assistant to support a research project on 3D spatial analysis, navigation modelling, and digital representations of the built environment. The project focuses on integrating indoor sensing data and outdoor geospatial information to support semantic mapping, robot trajectory optimisation, navigation network across complex built environments.
Qualifications
The candidate should have
- A Master’s degree with relevant background and knowledge in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in 3D scene reconstruction, deep learning and semantic segmentation for building environment.
- Programming ability and familiarity with Linux; experience in ML/DL is preferred. Understanding of navigation framework and path optimization algorithms.
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications.
Appointed candidates will support research planning and execution, including conducting research, analysing results, and preparing reports and papers. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
