Job Description

The Lien Centre for Palliative Care (“LCPC”) in Duke-NUS Medical School aims to be the premier palliative care research and educational centre in the region. With generous support from the Lien Foundation, strategic collaborations with the National Cancer Centre Singapore and the broader SingHealth institutes within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, LCPC is poised for significant growth in the coming years.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will perform a variety of research activities which include planning, organizing and conducting research studies within the overall scope of a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate: -

  • Conduct advanced quantitative analyses using large-scale datasets (e.g., administrative, registry, electronic health records)
  • Apply econometric and statistical methods to evaluate healthcare utilisation, outcomes, and policy interventions
  • Conduct and contribute to systematic and scoping reviews of literature
  • Support study design, data management, and statistical modelling for observational and quasi-experimental and experimental studies
  • Contribute to manuscript preparation for high-impact peer-reviewed journals
  • Assist with grant preparation, reporting, and research coordination
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, data scientists, and policy stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s /Masters’ Degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Health or related quantitative field.
  • Possess strong knowledge in advanced statistical/econometric analysis.
  • Proficient in statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SAS)
  • Prior experience working with large datasets
  • Have strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team
