Research Assistant Professor (25260665)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our research team as a Research Assistant Professor in Biomass Conversion, focusing on the area of biomass valorisation via catalysis/biocatalysis.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of researchers to develop new methodologies for converting biomass into high-value chemicals and fuels using catalytic and biocatalytic processes.

Requirements:

• A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields;
• Experience in catalytic and/or biocatalytic reactions for biomass conversion;
• Knowledge of analytical techniques used for evaluating catalytic and biocatalytic activity;
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
• Track record of scientific productivity, including peer-reviewed publications.

This is a full-time position with the initial appointment of 2 years.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
