Research Associate (Chemistry)

- Base salary: Level A, step 8, $112,371 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity
- Contribute to a translational research program in clean energy and decarbonisation, supporting low-emissions technologies.
- Design and conduct experiments, analyse data, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications and conference outputs.
- Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and industry-linked research projects.
- Support the supervision and mentoring of Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
- Assist in preparing competitive research grant applications and contribute to externally funded programs.
- Engage in School activities, outreach, and initiatives that enhance research impact and community engagement.
About you
- A PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in materials chemistry, carbon capture technologies, critical minerals processing and/or chemical kinetics.
- A track record of peer-reviewed publications and contribution to high-quality research outputs.
- Experience working in collaborative or industry-linked research environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams.
