Research Associate I - Lifespan Stress and Health Lab - Dietrich College

The Lifespan Stress and Health Lab is in the Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Our lab investigates how early adversity and stress shape psychological and biological processes that influence health across development. Carnegie Mellon University's Dietrich College is searching for a Research Associate I to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support in multiple data collection projects on stress, early life adversity, and immune outcomes across lifespan. This appointment will be for one year and will begin in August 2026.

Core responsibilities include:

Providing various forms of research-related support, including recruitment of community samples, conducting interviews with youth and caregivers, process payment of participants, and laboratory and data maintenance
Training in biological data collection, including blood draws, cell culture, and immunoassays
Supervise a team of undergraduate research assistants
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, biology, neuroscience, public health, or a related field.
1-3 years of research and/or data collection experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
