The Department of Cancer Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of cellular immunology, molecular biology and animal models of cancer. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include investigating the role of commensal microbiota in lung cancer.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills and experimental skills in understanding host-microbiota interaction and cancer immunology; familiarize with related literature; assist with the preparation of manuscripts for publication; participate in career trainings offered by the University.

Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of postdoctoral experience.
