Position Summary

The Department of Surgery is seeking a Part Time Research Associate. The primary role will be to enhance an existing cardiac surgical video analysis pipeline by expanding anatomy recognition models to support AI-assisted surgery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and augment the existing pipeline of surgical video analysis modules
• Develop a pipeline using Segment Anything 2 for semi-automated anatomy segmentation
• Aiding other module development relating to AI-assisted cardiac surgery
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with deep learning projects, Pytorch familiarity
• Current enrolled in a graduate or PhD program

Other Requirements

• Intermediate coding experience in Python
