ANNOUNCEMENT OF AN OPEN COMPETITION FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS: Research Associate (Social Sciences, Economics) – 2 positions
The employment for both positions is permanent and full-time, with a six-month probationary period and an obligation to undergo re-election or election to a higher position every five years.
Applicants must meet the requirements prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act.
Along with the application for the call for applications, the following must be submitted:
- a curriculum vitae,
- proof of having obtained a doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of Social Sciences, branch of Economics,
- proof of registration in the Register of Scientists and Artists,
- proof of meeting the requirements in accordance with the National, University, Scientific, and Artistic Criteria: https://narodne-novine.nn.hr/clanci/sluzbeni/2026_04_42_506.html and
- proof of meeting the additional requirements in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Criteria for Appointment and Reappointment to Scientific Positions at the Institute: https://www.iztzg.hr/hr/o-nama/opci-akti/.
A candidate who has obtained a higher education qualification abroad must, together with their application for a scientific position, submit either an opinion on the evaluation of the foreign higher education qualification issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education or a confirmation issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education that the evaluation procedure for the foreign higher education qualification has been initiated.
Applicants who have the right to priority employment under a special law must state this in their application. Such applicants will be given priority only if all other conditions are equal.
Applicants claiming the right to priority employment under the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families and the Law on Civilian War Victims are required to submit, in addition to proof of meeting the required conditions, all necessary documents available at the following link: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.
Applications must be submitted within 30 days of the date of publication of the competition in the Official Gazette.

Following the initial selection of applicants, interviews will be conducted if necessary. Applicants will be notified of the date of the interview by email.
