Research Coordinator 0.5 FTE Maternity Cover

Rose Bruford College is one of the UK’s leading drama schools and a pioneering Centre for theatre, production, and performance training. We are a close-knit community of around 1,000 students across foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes. With a diverse and inclusive community of students, staff and alumni, we are proud to produce creative, adaptable, and industry-ready graduates who shape the future of the creative arts.

Our research culture is growing, with areas of intensity including queer performance, acting and performance, scenography and technologies, and socially engaged and political performance.

We are seeking to appoint a Research Coordinator (0.5 FTE) to provide maternity cover. Working within the Research Office, the postholder will support the day-to-day administrative support of the research office, including post-funding grant administration, supporting the Research Integrity and Ethics Committee and the Research Office's work in this area, and other duties where appropriate, including the planning and delivery of research funding applications and, where appropriate, support evidencing research impact.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, organised and detail-oriented individual to:

  • Provide expert guidance on funding opportunities
  • Support and advise on bid writing
  • Coordinate application timelines
  • Ensure compliance with both funder and institutional requirements

You will bring:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A strong understanding of the UK research funding landscape
  • The ability to work collaboratively to enhance research capacity and impact

The role holder will be supported to further develop their expertise in funding applications and will work as part of a collaborative team to build funding applications at both individual and institutional levels. This role also offers a valuable opportunity to support research excellence.

Benefits include:

  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Research mentorship
  • Access to funding to support your own research
  • A vibrant, creative campus community with regular student performances and events

Application deadline: 12 noon on Wednesday 10th June

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, particularly those with lived experience of disability and those from underrepresented groups in higher education.
