Research Coordinator I
Job Description
This position plays a key role in participant recruitment, study execution, and project coordination. Responsibilities include recruiting participants through multiple channels, managing the consent process, collecting biological samples, scheduling study visits, and supporting data collection activities such as electrophysiological, neuropsychological, and fMRI protocols. The role also involves coordinating with clinical providers, communicating with participants, and providing training to research staff and trainees.
In addition, the position supports research project coordination by tracking milestones, managing IRB compliance, overseeing volunteer onboarding and performance, and ensuring smooth workflow across study activities.
For data management, the role shares responsibility for maintaining data integrity across multiple platforms (e.g., REDCap, MS Access, Excel), managing both electronic and hard-copy records, and assisting in the development of data collection tools. Miscellaneous duties are performed as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children and/or psychiatric populations.
- Ability to work independently, interact professionally and possess effective writing, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience with EEG, neuropsychological assessments, fMRI protocols.
- Experience with MS excel, word and Access.
- Experience with online databases and/or collection such as REDCap or similar programs.
- Experience with statistical software such as SPSS and Stata.
- Experience or desire to learn phlebotomy
- Previous experience working on a research project; paid or volunteer including participant interaction and/or recruitment.
