Research Coordinator
Position Summary
The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Research Coordinator to work with Center for Research on People of Color (CRPC). The incumbent will work closely with the Executive Director, Project Director, and Project Manager to assist in various day-to-day operations and study related tasks.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate research study tasks, including subject recruitment, participant scheduling, preparation of study materials, participant enrollment, data collection and data entry.
- Coordinate Live Music meetings, set agenda items, take meeting minutes, and assist with communication across study
- Assist in tracking project progress and reporting updates to study teams.
- Attend staff and study team meetings.
- Communicate clearly and routinely with study team.
- Support Project Director with building/maintaining relationships with community partners.
- Assist with research and manuscript preparation for publication and dissemination of results.
- Assist coordination of CRPC social media presence (LinkedIn and Facebook).
- Organize and support event planning for CRPC and related research studies.
- Support Project Director with study IRB (i.e. assist with modifications as needed and process revisions and annual continuation process for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions)
- Assist with other research study and CRPC tasks as needed.
- Position requires travel to participants throughout NYC.
- Position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.
The continuation of this role is contingent upon future grant-funding and/or funding for the Center for the Research on People of Color.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
- Experience in health related research.
- Computer fluency with Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be a highly motivated, self-starter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree:
- A major in public health, psychology, nursing or related field.
- Experience or interest in working with the community
