Research Engineer (SRAM Circuits & Architectures and IT Infrastructure)
Job Description
We are looking for a Research Engineer for the Activity-Suppressed in-Memory Compute Layers with Highly-Reconfigurable Dataflow for 3D Energy-Efficient AI Systems project led by Professor Massimo Alioto, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).
The selected candidate is expected to:
- Explore circuit-architecture via circuit-behavioural loop modelling
- Work on SRAM bank exploration and native energy optimization, reconfigurable banks for storage / compute / communications
- Develop functional and data flow flexibility enablement from chip to 3D system
- In-memory compute layer integration and demonstration
- The candidate is also expected to manage project-related correspondence, relationships with project stakeholders, collaborators, and external partners
- organize industry workshops to expand research
- Assisting team in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating goods and services in accordance with NUS procurement policies.
The appointment can commence immediately with a 1-year contract, with prospect of extension. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess:
- a Bachelor/Master’s degree in either Electrical Engineering or strictly related (e.g., Computer, Electronics, Communication, or Information Engineering).
- Knowledge on circuit-architecture and design and SRAM in-memory computing circuits and architectures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Open to fixed term contract.
