Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Are you interested in translational research tackling serious bacterial infections? We are seeking an experienced Research Fellow to join a collaborative research team investigating immune‑based solutions for serious bacterial disease. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact immunology research with national and international partners.

You will bring proven laboratory experience in one or more of the following areas: antibody characterisation, multiplex assay development, and clinical cohort studies, along with demonstrable expertise in systems immunology data analysis. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated team focused on immunology‑based solutions for globally important pathogens, particularly Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.

Key aspects of the role include developing and applying robust immunological assays to characterise humoral immune responses and define correlates of protection relevant to bacterial infections. This work will support longer‑term goals to improve understanding of protective immunity and inform future vaccine development.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) fixed-term role for two years. The salary range for this role is $99,788 - $119,204, depending on skills and experience.
