Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to perform high-impact research in the field of cascade biocatalysis, protein engineering, whole-cell biotransformation, and synthetic biology for an on-going research project. The prospective researcher will work with an interdisciplinary team in the Biocatalysis lab to develop cascade biotransformations to convert CO2-derived and/or bio-based chemicals into high-value chemicals for industrial application.

Job Requirements

  • Ph.D degree in protein engineering, biocatalysis, and/or synthetic biology.
  • Extensive knowledge and working experience in directed enzyme evolution, cascade biocatalysis, enzyme expression and pathway engineering, cell engineering, synthetic biology, biotransformation, etc.
  • Good publication records.
  • Self-motivated and strong problem-solving, writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
