Research Fellow (Immunology TRP)

Job Description

We are seeking a Research Fellow (Postdoctoral Researcher) to join the laboratory of Kaiwen Chen at the National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will join a young and dynamic research team investigating the molecular mechanisms of innate immunity, cell death signalling, and host-pathogen interactions. The successful candidate will (1) identify novel regulators of innate immune and cell death signalling; or (2) examine host cells response to microbial infection. The candidate is expected to design and perform experiments, analyse data, and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, or a related discipline
  • Published at least one first-author primary research article
  • Strong background in cell biology or infection biology
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques, such as cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, lentiviral transduction and bacterial mutagenesis
  • Experience with animal handling and flow cytometry
  • Experience genome-wide CRISPR screen is highly desirable

Terms of Appointment

Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis, with renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The salary package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
