Research Fellow in Young Stars and Disks

Location: Leeds - Main Campus

Working time: 37.5 hours per week

Contract type: Fixed term (Until 30th September 2029 - to complete specific time limited work)

Do you have a background in observations and/or modelling of young stars and their circumstellar disks? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?

The University of Leeds invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral research position to study emission mechanisms from young stars and their disks at radio wavelengths.

You will work with Dr John Ilee on an STFC-funded project exploring ways to disentangle emission from dust and ionised gas coming from young stellar objects.

You will join the Astrophysics Group in the School of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Leeds, an active research community covering areas from star and planet formation to exoplanet atmospheres.

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
