Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our multidisciplinary team working on the development of novel synthetic and bio-based polymers and composite materials for environmental sustainability applications. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of the research team under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) to work on:

  • Developing materials and technologies for resource recovery from seawater desalination processes.
  • Conducting research and experiments for materials synthesis, fabrication, testing and characterization.
  • Writing and preparing progress reports, manuscripts, and proposals related to the projects.
  • Assisting the PI in guiding junior researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
  • Assisting the PI in managing projects and laboratories and other ad hoc tasks that may be assigned by the PI.

Qualifications

  • A PhD degree in Materials, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Bioengineering, or any other related field, obtained from a reputable university.
  • Fresh PhD without postdoctoral working experience is welcomed, but showing evidence of excellent research accomplishments.
  • Excellent research publication records in reputable international journals.
  • Strong background in biomass and bio-based polymers, hydrogels, and composite resins.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Being a good team player across multiple disciplines.
