Research Fellow (Mechanics and Applied Mathematics)

Job Description

The candidate will study, via computational modeling and analytical techniques where appropriate, the flow of complex fluids through complex domains, subject to non-linear conditions such as, rheological variation, and temperature and pressure dependence of the fluid properties.

Qualifications

  1. Substantial experience in asymptotics, perturbation expansions, micro-hydrodynamics, elastohydrodynamics, viscous flow physics.
  2. Certain programming and analytical skills are required. Experience in python, Fortran, C++ and parallel computing are a plus.
  3. Good publication record in peer-reviewed journals for fluid mechanics.
  4. A Ph.D. degree in relevant fields related to Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering.
