Research Fellow (organic electrochemist)
Job Description
A postdoc position is available in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National University of Singapore. This role involves electrochemical characterizations of water-soluble redox-active molecules and evaluate their electrochemical performance in aqueous organic flow batteries and electrochemical CO2 capture systems.
Qualifications
A PhD in Organic Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills:
1. Strong expertise in organic chemistry and electrochemistry.
2. Hands-on experience with electrochemical characterizations.
3. Experience in analytical and characterization techniques.
4. Ability to independently design, conduct, and troubleshoot experiments.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Preferred Experience:
• Familiarity with aqueous electrochemistry and flow batteries.
• Ability to supervise students
• Good laboratory safety awareness
• A good publication record
