Research Fellow (Spatial Omics, iHealthTech)

About iHealthTech

At iHealthtech, we envision advancing health through innovation, integration of smart technology and on-demand health solution. Our organisation consists of an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and clinicians who work with our industrial partners to push the frontier of science to meet patients' needs.

Job Description

Traditional gene expression studies extract RNA through destructive cell lysis, restricting analysis to single timepoints and necessitating parallel samples. This prevents temporal tracking in the same cells and poses challenges for scarce primary samples. The use of nanostraws can enable longitudinal and repeated extraction of RNA from living cells, organoids and tissue slices.

We are hiring a Research Fellow to lead two projects on the theme of instrumented tissues, integrating nanotechnology with existing spatial omics methods, to characterize immune responses in living lymphoid organoids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting experiments, writing manuscripts

Qualifications

PhD in material sciences, biomedical engineering, cancer and immunology.

The candidate should have experience in tissue slicing, spatial omics and/or nanofabrication.

To apply, please send your cover letter, CV and names of 3 references (name, institution, email) to Dr. Andy Tay Kah Ping and bietkpa@nus.edu.sg.

*Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.*
