Job Description

We are seeking a motivated research fellow to join our group, which is dedicated to the synthesis of 2D materials, device fabrication, and the investigation of their properties. Our work is committed to solving key challenges of 2D materials applications in nanoelectronics, photonics and energy harvesting and conversion. We are looking for a candidate with proven track record in computational materials science, density functional theory, and two-dimensional materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use the first-principles approach to explore novel two-dimensional (2D) materials and their tuning for next-generation electronics.
  • Work with experimentalists to elucidate growth and properties of 2D materials.
  • Evaluate optical and electrical properties of 2D materials.
  • Make contributions to science and engineering communities via publications, patents, and conferences.
  • Resources planning and technical procurement.

Qualifications

  1. A PhD degree in a relevant area (Materials Science/Chemistry/Electrical Engineering or equivalent) / Candidates submitted Thesis and will be receiving their PhD within 6 months.
  2. Good publication record.
  3. Experience in 2D Materials research.
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  5. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  6. Proven track record in computational materials science and density functional theory.
