Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and execute end-to-end research projects in metabolic diseases (e.g. obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, MASH), covering the full pipeline from biomarker discovery and clinical validation to target identification/confirmation and novel therapeutic development

Design and implement translational research strategies, utilizing multi-omics approaches (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics) for the identification and prioritization of novel biomarkers and drug targets

Design and perform biomedical experiments to advance therapeutic discovery, including developing and optimizing cell-based and biochemical assays for target validation; applying molecular biology techniques to characterize therapeutic antibodies and macromolecular drugs; conducting biostatistical analysis to interpret experimental data

Undertake other duties as assigned

5.5 workdays per week is required

Requirements

A Ph.D. degree, preferably with experience in molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, and other related disciplines
Prior postdoctoral or industry experience in the aforementioned disciplines is highly preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, share knowledge proactively, and deliver high-quality results under pressure
Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Research Officer
