Position Highlights
The Research Professional I supports sleep coach intervention delivery, including training, consultation, and coordination of sleep coaches. They also administer REDCap surveys, participant reminders, and process case note and side effects data. The role collaborates in training team members, upholding ethical standards, and communicating study progress to investigators, staff, and participants while identifying and addressing operational challenges. The Research Professional I also assists in preparing technical reports, protocols, and scholarly or stakeholder-facing manuscripts and presentations, with additional cross-training duties assigned as needed to ensure adequate study coverage.
Schedule may be flexible based on study need in close collaboration with PI and study team. Most tasks may be performed remote but occasionally stakeholders and team members request in-person meetings or tasks that may require some travel.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administers and reviews study assessments, including REDCap surveys, participant reminders, case notes, and fidelity ratings.
- Engages in quality control measures to ensure data accuracy within guidelines.
- Coordinates and monitors intervention delivery processes to ensure fidelity to research protocol.
- Transmits feedback arising from fidelity ratings to research staff.
- Collaborates on the training of study team members in intervention delivery, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, transparency, and accountability.
- Communicates regularly with the principal investigator, co-investigators, research staff, and participants regarding intervention delivery.
- Identifies operational challenges and recommends practical solutions to support study success.
- Assists with the preparation of technical reports and protocols.
- Assists with the writing and administration of academic, professional, and stakeholder-facing manuscripts and presentations.
- May cross-train on some job functions with other research personnel to ensure adequate back-up.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Zoom.
- Knowledge of REDCAP, R, SPSS statistical software.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of human subjects research requirements.
- Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) models.
- Knowledge of CBT-insomnia, sleep assessment methodology.
- General skills in counseling, psychotherapy, or behavior change intervention.
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education, public health or a related area of assignment.
- 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with human subjects research.
- Attention to detail and consistency demonstrated by previous work or academic experience.
