Position Purpose: Leads the strategic execution and operations of the research portfolio that underpins three service arms of Dartmouth Health @ Home (Primary Care at Home, Palliative Care at Home, General Home Care). The role ensures rigorous study design, rapid-cycle evaluation, and seamless integration of faculty expertise with operational teams. It also cultivates and manages relationships with internal and external partners, including researchers, the operations team, NH/VT Medicaid agencies, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, rural health transformation leaders, and donors, to generate evidence to inform sustainable payment and financing models for home-based care.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in health administration, health services research, public health, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in project management, health-policy research, and grant administration with at least 5 years leading complex, multi-component health-services research projects.
- Proven ability to understand and direct data analyses and to implement rapid-cycle evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of research ethics, IRB processes, and data-safety monitoring.
- Sound academic and policy writing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success supervising multidisciplinary research teams, mentoring junior investigators, and producing high-quality academic manuscripts, policy briefs, and presentations.
- Experience establishing relationships with federal (CMS) and state (NH/VT Medicaid) policymakers, rural-health transformation leaders, and major philanthropic donors.
- Proven track record of integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion considerations into research design, team building, and dissemination.
