Research Scientist (Part-Time OPS)
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This is an OPS research scientist position that supports a research scientist position focused on wastewater treatment technologies. The anticipated employment period is from April 15th, 2026, through December 31st, 2026.
JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Conduct literature reviews on wastewater treatment technologies.
- Investigate machine learning enhanced modeling tools for biosolids recycling strategies.
- Conduct modeling research related to industrial wastewater treatment technologies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficient in essential fate and transport and hydrologic modeling techniques.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW:
This position requires a criminal background check, which will include a Level II screening as required by Florida Statutes §435.04.
This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
The work schedule for this position will be discussed with the assigned staff member.
EXPECTED STARTING SALARY:
Salary of $20,000
