Job Description Summary
The Bushman lab is seeking multiple candidates for various projects. The first project involves using next generation sequencing to determine the location of new DNA inserted into host genomes, often in the context of human gene therapy. The second project uses deep sequencing, bioinformatics and other tools to uncover viral communities in diverse body sites. Both projects require expertise in nucleic acid manipulation. The candidate should have experience with nucleic acid purification and amplification, with additional cloning and sequencing experience preferred. The applicant should also be familiar with online tools for DNA sequence manipulation and analysis. Expertise with programming and statistical analysis are also desirable.

Qualifications

Candidate must be detail oriented and focused in the lab. Good organization, communication, and writing sills are required.
