Research Specialist A
Job Description Summary
The position has two components, (1) Carrying out laboratory research experiments, and (2) Providing day-to-day laboratory support. Research activities will involve using molecular biology, biochemistry/biophysics and structural biology techniques in the biological areas of epigenetic regulation and/or acetyl-CoA metabolism, and/or cancer signaling. Laboratory support activities will include ordering supplies, coordinating equipment repair, preparing common lab reagents and maintaining general lab operation.
Position is contingent on continued grant funding.
Job Responsibilities
- Laboratory research, using molecular biology, biochemistry/biophysics and structural biology techniques, in the areas of epigenetic regulation and/or acetyl-CoA metabolism.
- Maintain laboratory inventory levels and order supplies
- Coordinate lab activities
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
