Job Description Summary
The Research Specialist C will work on independent projects with SARS-CoV-2 and other coronaviruses leading to publication and assist in manuscript writing. The candidate will also serve as the lab manager which will include ordering supplies, coordinating with external vendors, maintaining equipment and laboratory space, and shipping to collaborators.

Job Responsibilities

• Lab manager - ordering supplies, coordinating with external vendors, maintaining equipment and laboratory space, and shipping to collaborators.
• Work with collaborators on experiments
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Preferred - Advanced experience or skills in the areas of virology, tissue culture, immunoblotting, qPCR. Significant experience (4-5 years) working with a variety of coronaviruses and other viruses, basic molecular biology techniques, and primary cell models is essential.
