Job Description
Dr. Paul de Figueiredo’s lab in the Bond Life Sciences Center is seeking a Research Specialist II to contribute to research focused on microbiology.
Responsibilities:
- Adherence to Protocols and Safety Guidelines: Follow established laboratory protocols and safety guidelines rigorously. Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Precise Record Keeping and Data Management: Pay meticulous attention to detail. Maintain accurate records and manage data effectively. Keep detailed and organized laboratory notebooks.
- Collaboration and Independence: Work both independently and collaboratively with other lab members. Provide assistance and training to fellow researchers as needed.
- Laboratory Techniques: Prepare reagents for experiments. Perform molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to DNA extraction, PCR, Rt-PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Cultivate and maintain bacterial cultures.
Successful candidates will be persuasive communicators with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
