This is an exciting opportunity to join the Niccoli Lab (https://www.niccolilab.org/). You will join a team working collaboratively towards understanding the pathogenesis of ALS, with the hope of uncovering novel disease mechanisms for therapeutic development
About the role
We are looking for a Research Technician to assist in an MND Association funded project that aims to understand the role of redox signaling in motor neuron disease, using the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster as the primary model system.
- The salary for this role is £36,433 (inclusive of London weighting), pro-rated for 0.9 FTE
- The post-holder will work 0.9 FTE, with either Tuesday OR Thursday afternoons off
- The post is available for 24 months in the first instance.

About you
You will be highly motivated, willing and able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, with a strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
You will have a degree in a Cell, Molecular Biology or Genetics related subject area and some relevant laboratory experience. Experience with Drosophila is desirable.
