We are seeking to recruit a research technician for the UOC-eHealth Center - Research Center for Human and Planetary Health, in the NeuroADaS Lab research group at the UOC.
The objective of the project From Magnetic Resonance Imaging to Molecular Signatures: Generative AI for Virtual Biopsy in Gliomas - Gliogen X will be to develop a set of manually segmented medical images with the main goal of improving the precision and efficiency of the artificial intelligence algorithms of the GLIOGEN-X project.
Responsibilities
- Develop an integrated system for manually segmented medical images in NIFTI formats.
- Create a functional prototype of a data library to serve as a base for the development of automatic segmentation algorithms.
The contract will be a fixed-term, part-time (50%) contract of eight months. The start date will be in October 2026.

Candidate profile
- Education: Diploma or degree in disciplines related to the field of health.
- Experience: A minimum of one year's experience in the field.
- Specific knowledge:
- Fundamentals of medical imaging and central nervous system anatomy.
- Knowledge of tumour pathology.
- Proficiency in medical image manipulation tools (e.g., 3D Slicer, FSL and OsiriX).
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating environments.
- Languages:
- Proficient in Catalan and Spanish, both oral and written.
- English level B2 or higher (according to the Common European Framework of Reference or equivalent).
Also of interest
- Advanced knowledge of Linux and high-performance computing environments.
- Programming skills.
- Knowledge of the UOC's educational model, structure, and values.
