Job Description:
The Zhang Lab focuses on translational pharmacology, integrating in vitro, in vivo, and in silico approaches to investigate drug safety, efficacy, and ADME processes. The lab conducts preclinical ADME studies and develops pharmacokinetic (PK), PK/PD, and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models to optimize drug dosing and support drug development.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Research Technician to join the laboratory of Dr. Tao Zhang, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Binghamton University.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of laboratory procedures, including general molecular and cellular biology techniques, cell-based assays, bioanalytical methods, and laboratory animal handling and related experimental procedures. The technician may also assist with laboratory safety, equipment maintenance, and ordering.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in a related field with general laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to perform general laboratory techniques with precision and reliability
- Good organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology, or Pharmacology
- One to two years of general laboratory experience is preferred.
Additional Information:
Salary: $35,000-$38,000 annually, based on experience. This is a one-year appointment, renewable based on available funding and performance.
