Research Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified research technician for a neuroscience research lab. The ideal candidate would require experience in animal husbandry work, this includes breeding, genotyping and assessing animal behavior. The candidate will be required to help maintain mouse and rat colonies at USF. The candidate should also have experience in biochemical analysis such as western blotting as well as immunohistochemical analysis experience. The candidate should have experience with neuroscience research including but not limited to brain dissections and sectioning. The candidate is expected to also contribute to general lab procedures such as making solutions and ordering chemicals. Candidate should be able to work well in a large and diverse research lab.
Responsibilities
- Performs experiments, acquires and analyzes data.
- Animal handling, breeding and behavior testing.
- Biochemical, histological analysis and general lab procedures.
