Researcher in Distributed Fibre-Optic Sensing
The University of Alcalá (UAH) is offering one full-time predoctoral research position associated with the research project PID2025-172474OB-C31, entitled "Instrumentation for the Characterisation of Ruptures", funded through the 2025 Knowledge Generation Projects call of the Spanish State Research Agency (Agencia Estatal de Investigación, AEI).
The position is based in the Department of Electronics at the University of Alcalá, Spain, under the supervision of Principal Investigator María del Rosario Fernández Ruiz.
Research area
Distributed fibre-optic sensing.
Main responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to the research project through the following activities:
- Assemble, install and operate electro-optical circuits, primarily related to distributed fibre-optic sensing systems, although not limited to this application.
- Collect, process and analyse experimental data.
- Record and examine experimental results.
- Report research findings in scientific journals and/or international conferences.
Contract conditions
- Position: Predoctoral Researcher.
- Number of positions: 1.
- Contract duration: 4 years.
- Working hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Gross annual salary: EUR 25,456.10.
The employment contract will be governed by Article 21 of Spanish Law 14/2011 of 1 June on Science, Technology and Innovation.
