Duties
This translational project aims to improve understanding of how tumor microenvironment in colorectal cancer (CRC) is affecting prognosis and response to treatment. The study uses state-of-the-art methodologies for multiplexed in situ cancer profiling, combined with project-specific methods for quantifications of fibroblast and vessel characteristics. Studies are performed using a set of clinically well-annotated large CRC collections. The project is a collaboration between the groups of Prof. Tobias Sjöblom, Uppsala University, Prof. Arne Östman, Karolinska Institutet and Prof. Pia Österlund, Karolinska Institutet/Helsinki University.
Requirements
The candidate should have a PhD degree and at least 4 years of experience of post-doctoral work in a relevant area. Documented expertise in multiplex staining and associated digital image analysis is required.
Additional qualifications
Earlier experience of quantitative profiling of tumor microenvironment is considered as an additional merit.
About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 11 months. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
