The Pakistan Research Center has a relatively stable research team. In terms of title structure, specialty, research, age echelon ratio is scientific and reasonable, showing a virtuous cycle. There are 32 experts and talents of various types (14 full-time teachers and 18 part-time teachers), 9 with full senior titles, accounting for 28% of the total number, and 13 researchers with doctoral degrees, accounting for 40.6% of the total number. The talent team has strong scientific research capability and reasonable academic and knowledge structure. Based on the major strategic needs of the country and the overall situation of foreign affairs, the center takes basic theoretical research and applied countermeasure research as its two wings, supported by the innovation of scientific research mechanism, strengthens the construction of Chinese language education and political capacity, intensifies the cultivation of talents targeting the enterprises in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and improves the level of the think-tank’s counseling and political service. The center is mainly involved in six research areas: China-Pakistan Education Cooperation and Exchange Research, China-Pakistan Cultural Equivalence and Cultural Utilization Research, Pakistan-China Image Research, Pakistan Mining Investment Research, China-Pakistan Nonferrous Metals Cooperation Research and Political Affairs Service. Each research direction implements the team responsibility system, and each team has a convenor who is responsible for the team’s project pre-study, design and implementation. At present, the Center is based on local and industry, serves the overall situation, and makes efforts in four areas, namely: Chinese language education and dissemination through Confucius Institutes, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor enterprise services and talent training, think tank staff and governance services, and Pakistan studies.
