Restaurant Manager – LSE Catering (Campus)
Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance
LSE is the world’s leading social science institution, which attracts students from across the globe. LSE Catering manages restaurants, cafes, bars and shops across campus and halls of residence providing catering, retail and hospitality services to our staff and student community.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive, and motivated individual to help manage Coopers Restaurant. The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy restaurant environment, delivering a wide range of food and beverages while providing a warm and friendly welcome to our international students, staff, and guests.
Candidates should have:
- Experience in a restaurant environment
- Ability to deliver high levels of customer service in a high-volume environment
- Strong planning and organisational skills to support the daily operation of the restaurant
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Ability to train, lead, motivate, and work with a team
What’s essential is that you enjoy working as part of a team and are committed to consistently delivering excellent service and high standards. Experience in financial and stock management is imperative, as you will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations within the restaurant.
Although this position is usually assigned to Coopers Restaurant, all catering staff work flexibly and may be required to work in any of LSE Catering facilities. Working hours are varied and may involve early mornings, evenings and weekends. We offer straight shifts over an average 35-hour week.
