Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

This position provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. This position performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients. Knowledge of dysrhythmias and appropriate interventions. Nurses will demonstrate professional nursing behavior with patients, families, and co-workers. Must speak, read, and write English.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

• BSN or higher in Nursing for all external candidates.
• 6 months acute care nursing experience is preferred.
• Current CA Registered Nurse License, BLS, and ACLS.
• Hospital Mandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/Neglect, and Ethics.
• Tuberculosis Screening.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
