Appointment Type: Full Time
Chief Objective of Position: To coordinate programs, events, and student engagement activities that support the recruitment, enrollment, and career preparation of new and continuing students participating in the Community Captains Program, the Hampton City Schools Education Partnership, and other educational partnerships.
Work Tasks
School Partnerships:
- Support existing educational partnerships by coordinating programs, events and student engagement activities
- Plan and execute partnership-based initiatives
- Explore new school partnerships
- Regularly communicate and collaborate with school system partners
- Organize and manage logistics for program-related events
- Maintain detailed records of student interactions and program outcomes
Career Partnerships:
- Collaborate with the Center for Career Planning to design events
- Create a structured pathway of major and career exploration
- Conduct outreach to local employers
- Partner with employer development team to maintain employer contacts in Handshake
- Expand internships/work-based learning opportunities
Required Education: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with work experience that equates to an advanced degree.
Experience Required: Experience building relationships with a variety of constituencies; Experience working in an office environment; Experience in program development and execution; Experience handling sensitive information.
