Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)
Salary: $75,000
The Couper-Owens Center for Community Schools (C-O) at Binghamton University, housed within the College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA), advances the University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) model in K-12 schools across the local, regional, and national levels.
The School Mental Health Project Assistant Clinical Director plays a central role in advancing the Couper-Owens School Mental Health Project and related Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration grants.
Primary Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Service Implementation - Support implementation of the School Mental Health Project. Monitor project timelines, service deliverables, and program milestones.
- Clinical Supervision & Field Instruction - Serve as the Field Instructor for UACS Social Work Interns, providing one hour of weekly individual clinical supervision.
- Training & Professional Development - Assist in planning and facilitating orientation, Prep Academy, and monthly in-service training.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work with minimum of two years of post-MSW practice experience
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Experience supervising social work interns
- Experience working in or partnering with school communities
- Demonstrated knowledge of CSWE competencies and social work field education standards
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in NYS
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Experience providing clinical supervision
- Experience working in school-based mental health or community school
