The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts
WAAPA is a globally recognised performing arts academy, delivering a comprehensive range of training across performance, production and arts management disciplines. Our students develop their skills on-stage as actors, dancers and musicians, or behind the scenes in production, design and arts management.
Located in ECU’s state-of-the-art city campus at Yagan Square in the Perth CBD, WAAPA sits within a vibrant, multi-disciplinary environment that brings together creative, legal, business and technology education. We are seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated professional with excellent administrative skills to support a broad range of processes that contribute to the day-to-day functioning of WAAPA.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Academic Services Coordinator, this role is responsible for providing high-quality administrative support across a broad range of School operations. The position works closely with the Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning, and the Director International, as well as other School Officers.
The role supports Teaching and Learning activities and International functions, including coordinating student progression processes, providing committee support, and assisting with core administrative processes. It also involves working collaboratively with WAAPA and ECU international teams to support the effective delivery of administrative processes and School priorities.
School Officers may work across functional areas as required to ensure consistent, responsive and effective service delivery.
This position will suit a confident individual who is self-motivated, thrives in a busy and complex work environment, and works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative School support team.
About you
To be successful, you will have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the higher education sector (desirable)
