The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a SCIENCE LAB TECHNICIAN II - CHEMISTRY. The Incumbent under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of technical and specialized instructional support functions to individual students or group of students in a classroom or laboratory environment in a specific instructional area to facilitate effective learning.

Type of position: Full-time Substitute

The work hours for the substitute positions are: Regular Hours (beginning Monday, August 3, 2026): Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Duration: A minimum of two (2) months, but may be extended

Salary: CL-32

$25.41 - $31.79 Hourly

$4,405 - $5,510 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)

Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($25.41 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: two years college-level course work in related science discipline and two years of experience in a science laboratory.
