The Community Health team sits within Victoria University’s TAFE division and delivers high-quality, industry-relevant training across the health sector.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a passionate educator to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with managers and teaching staff to deliver best-practice services to students and stakeholders across all Community Health programs. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen your leadership capabilities, contribute to impactful education delivery, and take meaningful steps toward your career aspirations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate and keen to share knowledge gained through practical experience with students, staff, and industry. Ideally, you will have experience in operational management and coordination or leadership capacity. This is a full-time ongoing position primarily based at our Sunshine Campus. There is a requirement to travel between campus, Werribee and Footscray Nicholson.
Position Key Duties:
In performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to work within the University policies, procedures and other legislative/regulatory requirements, and to work independently, as well as within a collaborative environment.
Ensure quality compliance and regulatory alignment
Coordinate program logistics and stakeholder engagement
Manage administrative processes for students and staff
Support staff development and performance
Lead continuous improvement and safety/compliance monitoring
Salary: SE1 $121,708 per annum per annum
Employment Type: Continuing
Hours: 38 per week 1 FTE

About You:
Current Industry experience and knowledge relevant to the areas under management in Community Health
Knowledge and skills in VET that informs team management and programs in the VET sector and/or adult learning.
Completed a teacher training course at the Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5, inclusive of supervised teaching practice, along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40122) which includes Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401); and Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502, TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B).
A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop effective stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes.
A multi-sector perspective and understanding of key issues in Vocational Education and Training (VET), Higher Education, and Industry, which informs development and implementation initiatives.
Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
