We are committed to cultivating the next generation of healthcare professionals who will embody the highest clinical standards, addressing tomorrow's medical challenges with competence, compassion, and creativity.
Why Join Us
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Singapore's doctors; from selecting tomorrow's medical students through the admissions process, to supporting professionalism throughout their journey at NUS Medicine. You'll work closely with senior faculty, collaborate with the team to organise key projects and events, and contribute to initiatives that make a lasting impact on the student experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the team to plan and execute the annual NUS Medicine admissions exercise, including interviews, applicant engagement, admissions operations, and providing secretariat support to the Admissions Committee.
- Coordinate admissions outreach and engagement activities, including Open House, talks, webinars and applicant events, to promote NUS Medicine and support prospective students throughout the admissions journey.
- Contribute to process improvements, digital initiatives and data analysis to enhance the admissions experience and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with faculty, clinicians, student leaders and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality programmes and events.
- Support the planning and execution of projects, events, vendor coordination, committee work and new initiatives.
- Support the Professionalism & Student Conduct Committee (PSCC) by coordinating committee meetings, case management and follow-up, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen the student experience and shape the future of medical education.
- Admissions interviews and major outreach events peak during the admissions cycle (January to May), which includes approximately 10–12 weekends of work annually and overtime during peak periods.
- Time-off arrangements will be provided in accordance with NUS policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Strong event management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience in admissions, event planning or project management is preferred but not required. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
