Senior Facilities Project Manager
Job Summary
This position provides the Facilities organization with leadership, management guidance, direction and oversight in the administration of all assigned projects. Assists the Director of Project Services to provide direction and oversight in daily operations. Performs oversight of complex and multifaceted construction projects in accordance with all Commonwealth and PASSHE regulations and laws, exercises fiscal stewardship through all projects, and provides professional engineering, design, consultation, and project management services to the University through direct involvement and delegated direction of permanent and temporary staff via outside consultants.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five years of leadership experience managing professional staff.
- Five years of work experience using the principles and methods relating to construction project management including contractual agreements, construction methodologies, construction techniques, scheduling, and QA procedures.
- 10 years progressively responsible and varied experience in completion of building construction projects at the superintendent level or above.
- High school or equivalent GED level of education.
- Extensive working knowledge of PC software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, AUTOCAD, and generic database programs like MS Access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, project management, engineering, architecture or in a related field with 3 years progressively responsible and varied experience in managing the completion of building construction projects.
- Professional registration as an engineer or architect.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications and progress schedules in the form of critical path tasks.
- Knowledge of construction design process from concept to completion.
- Knowledge of construction building codes and practices.
- CCM Certification
- Experience managing construction projects in a public, low bid, multi-prime setting.
- Experience working in a related field in Higher Education in a similar setting.

The starting salary range for this position is $88,020 - $99,500.
This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval.
