The appointee is expected to perform teaching duties and to provide leadership to a variety of academic programmes under the Division of Business of CIE. Duties of the post include course teaching, programme development and review, quality assurance and quality enhancement, student development, programme admissions, and staff supervision. The appointee is also expected to provide leadership service in committees.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in related disciplines. Applicants should have substantial experience in teaching and some years of experience in programme management at managerial/academic leadership level. Possession of excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstration of collegiality, and knowledge of quality assurance in higher education are essential for the post. Those who have work experience in academic programmes at different QF levels in self-financing tertiary institutions as well as continuous engagement in academic research are preferred.
Reference salary range:
Senior Lecturer: HK$69,000 - HK$102,000
The appointee will work on either/both the Kowloon Tong or/and Shatin Shek Mun campuses.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
