About the Role:
Based within our School of Medicine on the Chelmsford campus, you will join a team of Senior Lecturer Practitioners to design and deliver our innovative Professional Skills curriculum for undergraduate medical students in Years 1-3 of the MBChB programme. This developing curriculum sits alongside our established Clinical Skills theme and plays a central role in shaping future doctors. It focuses on building core competencies such as communication, clinical reasoning, and personal and professional development, ensuring our graduates are well prepared for the complexities of modern medical practice.
You will be registered with a UK healthcare regulator and have a higher degree or relevant professional qualification as well as extensive post qualification CPD. You will bring excellent interpersonal skills and a clear understanding of the professional standards and behaviours expected of doctors in the UK. Experience in teaching and/or curriculum design within higher education is desirable, alongside a commitment to high-quality, student-centred education.
