We are seeking a motivated and proactive person to support the work of the Library in the critical area of Collection Management and Resource Description. Based within the General Collections and Finance Unit and working as part of the wider Collections and Digital Services Section, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting collection management activities and resource description workflows.
The role offers opportunities to supervise and collaborate with colleagues within the unit and across the Library, contributing to the continuous improvement of workflows and the development of services and collections that support the University's teaching, learning, research, and academic priorities.
Appointed at Senior Library Assistant level and reporting to the General Collections and Finance Manager, the post holder will work both independently and collaboratively, adopting a structured and proactive approach to planning, managing, and evaluating their workload to ensure objectives and deadlines are achieved. The role requires strong supervisory, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, together with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services to the University community.
Salary
Senior Library Assistant (128): €46,216 - €56,092 p.a. pro rata (0.5FTE) (7 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
